Absolute approbation!

Physical violence is so rampant that making commercials on this objective turns out to create a tremendous impact. (Haha) Seriously ? Is it funny ? No. Not at all.

First, let me brief you about the off-late Reebok’s advertisement themed on Women’s day.

A brutally bruised woman under limelight; encircled by a gathering of almost 20 people (both men and women of various age groups). They were questioned about their perspective on the reason trailing behind her bruises.

A classy 50-yr old business man told he felt aghast and it made him feel outrageous on the person who did this to her.

A middle-aged woman guessed it might be someone from her family or might be her husband who had caused it.

Another woman told she looked like someone had beaten up her black and blue.

A man in his midlife told it seemed as if she had been physically abused, by a few eve-teasers, probably.

Eminently, a young girl also stated that it could be an outcome of self-hurt, because people do that too.

A young man quoted : “When you see something like this, the only thing that pops-up in your mind is that it’s an usual occurrence; it happens.”

Another man surmised that her freedom had been violated in some manner. Everyone felt a great deal of sympathy for that bruised-woman.

Then, our prominent women, rose from her recliner, stepped ahead, took boxing stance, reflexed her legs and punched her fist in the air.

Yes ! She’s a martial artist. She said,. “My bruises can be good; they symbolise my strength and not my weakness. They’re a proof of my strength to defeat any opponent. I’M FIT TO FIGHT !”

That fetched a wide grin on the sad faces of the peers. Pity to pride ! Sympathy to smile !

A guy had also apologised for thinking stereotypically that she might have been a victim of severe domestic abuse.

The advertisement also adds statistics from a survey taken : Out of all the people interviewed, 85% believed her bruises were a result of physical abuse. Not their fault ! Our pysche has been chiseled that way because that’s the present situation in our country. This intensely reveals how prevalant physical violence against women is, around us.

Women are Fit to Fight !

Cause we’re tired of asking you to stop physical violence !

“Gone are those days, when women were petrified, put-down, humiliated, intimidated, jeopardized and broken.” — this should be told ! When ? How long do you wanna wait to hear it ?!

An exemplary saying goes this way : “The last best time to plant a sapling was 10 years ago; and the next best time is RIGHT NOW.”

Similarly, we didn’t use the last best time to empower women. So isn’t now the next best time to empower women ?! Yes !

This is the absolute approbation.

(Approbation almost means empowerment)

” Your time as caterpillar has expired. Your wings are ready ” –Anonymous

Get going women ! We’re born to fight and not to remain low-pitched all the time !!

Alive are those men who still respect and praise women. We express our gratitude and honor them always. Yet, do we need to be honored for executing our duty ? I wonder how we forget our duty but claim for our rights all the time.

🙂

  1. we can understand your feelings, it will take its own time, to improve. every one is accepting in public, the same person is doing the mistake , not only against women, in job, in public behaviour while following the traffic rules, etc.
